                                             BENGALI STYLE CHILI ECHOR
INGREDIENTS

  



INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Pressure cook jackfruit pieces with 1/2 tsp salt and 4 tbsp water for one whistle.
  2. Let the pressure eases itself.
  3. Strain the pieces and let it sit for 10 minutes or till they completely dry.
  4. Spread it on a plate.
  5. Sprinkle cornflour, rice flour, pinch of salt, little soya sauce and chilli powder and mix well with hand.
  6. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a non stick pan, when oil is hot, throw half of the jackfruit pieces into the pan.
  7. When one side turn brown , toss the pieces and wait till other side turns brown.
  8. Toss again and cook for few minutes more. Cook till all the sides turn brown in colour.
  9. Repeat the same step with remaining jackfruit pieces.
  10. Remove and set aside.
  11. Heat a tbsp of oil and add chopped ginger , garlic and green chilli .
  12. As soon as they turn brown add onion , capsicum and pinch of salt.
  13. Fry for a minute ,when onion become translucent, add jackfruit pieces.
  14. Give a nice mix.
  15. Finally add all the sauces along with salt and toss in high flame for 1-2 minute.
  16. Sprinkle pepper powder, little sugar , mix well.
  17. check the seasoning and throw little spring onion, mix and switch off the flame.
  18. serve hot.





RECIPE NOTES
  • Dont worry, you also can deep fried the jackfruit pieces.
  • Else if you have appe pan , these pieces can be cooked in appe pan too.
  • Little chilli garlic sauce can be added to this dish.
